I met Sally soon after I became good friends with Jane, back when we studied together for our masters. Sally, being Sally, made me feel welcome and part of her family straight way. Over the years she even decided that she was to be my British mum! Whenever I came by in Orpington or phoned, she shared all her warmth with me and as the years went by with my husband Michael and my daughter Charlotte. As disorganized that she may have been, she always remembered my birthday and the one of Charlotte. The birthday cards and presents may have not be on time, but that was only because of the postal service, which is clearly no longer what it used to be! All these fond memories of Sally we carry with us. Sally continues to be with us in our hearts and we will miss her.
